Sunnylands: America’s Midcentury Masterpiece, Revised and Expanded Edition, written by Janice Lyle, was published in 2022 by Vendome Press. This coffee table book is filled with photographs of the historic house and detailed descriptions of the significant moments, world-famous guests, furnishings, and artworks that made Sunnylands one of the most unique homes in America.

The revised edition features 32 pages of brand new photography, including the Center & Gardens, the new 17-acre Administration Campus, as well as two Desert X art installations.

In his signature Hollywood Regency style, William Haines designed and installed more than 450 pieces—cabinets, tables, consoles, chairs, lamps, etc.—in the Annenberg home, bringing a unique glamour to the 25,000-square-foot residence that has played host to world leaders and cultural icons since its completion in 1966.

The 2023-2024 exhibition, Variations to a Theme: William Haines at Sunnylands, and its accompanying catalog spotlight the custom-made furniture and interior décor that the legendary decorator created for Sunnylands.
