Music in the Gardens—Hot Club of Palm Springs

Sunnylands presents its annual Music in the Gardens concert series beginning Sunday, March 6, and continuing every Sunday throughout the month.

The public is invited to stroll in the Gardens or bring a lawn chair and have a picnic on the Great Lawn while enjoying a different musical act each weekend. Every performance is free and takes place from 11 am to 1 pm.

Water and sun protection are recommended. Guests may bring blankets and folding chairs. No seating is provided. While guests are invited to bring food and picnics to Sunnylands, large coolers, ice chests, grills, and alcohol are not permitted. No large shade structures or items that puncture the lawn are permitted. Parking is free. No reservations required.

The Hot Club of Palm Springs plays a variety of music including Gypsy Jazz, Prohibition Era Pop, Great American Song book, and vintage inspired arrangements of modern pop songs. Founded by Bob Hamilton in 2015, the group has performed for regularly throughout the desert at events for Sunnylands, Modernism Week, the Palm Springs Convention Center, and many private events. The group features Jeremie Levi on violin, Larry Holloway on bass, Jessie Payo on Vocals, and Bob Hamilton on Guitar. The group is excited to be performing a rare public event in the gardens at Sunnylands.
