For the fifth year, Sunnylands in partnership with various organizations will celebrate Coachella Valley Days of Los Muertos. This four-day event at the Center & Gardens will include pop-up craft tables, themed activities, and traditional ofrendas (ceremonial altars) on display throughout the gardens.
Crafts include monarch butterfly cut-outs that guests can color to decorate the gardens, and skull masks that guests can decorate and wear as they explore. Guests also can participate in a community display by completing the sentence “Before I die…” on colorful strips of paper, expressing their wishes for the future.
