In 2001, Walter and Leonore Annenberg established The Annenberg Foundation Trust at Sunnylands to convene retreats that “address serious issues facing the nation and the world.”  At times, these high-level retreats prevent public access to the estate.  In February, a robust retreat schedule precludes Sunnylands from offering any tours of the historic Annenberg home other than those sold through Modernism Week. The Open-Air Experience tour is suspended during February as well.

To help alleviate demand, more tours – as many as three a day – have been added in January and March. Throughout February, Sunnylands Center & Gardens will be open during regular hours, Thursday through Sunday 8:30 am – 4:00 pm. Admission is free and requires no advance reservation.
