Sunnylands to Close for Presidential Summit

January 13, 2016–The White House has announced that President Obama will host a summit with leaders from the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) at Sunnylands in February.

As set forth in its founding documents, the primary mission of The Annenberg Foundation Trust at Sunnylands is to make Sunnylands available for “the President of the United States and the Secretary of State of the United States to bring together world leaders in order to promote world peace and facilitate international agreement.”

Therefore, the historic estate and Sunnylands Center & Gardens will close at 9 am Sunday, February 7 and will reopen for public visitation at 9 am Saturday, February 20, when scheduled tours of the historic Annenberg estate will resume for guests who have purchased tickets offered during Modernism Week.

Sunnylands Center & Gardens will also resume its regular schedule on Saturday, February 20. Sunnylands Center & Gardens offers special exhibits, beautiful gardens, walking trails, a café, gift shop, and activities for people of all ages.
