School Privacy Zone Summit: Protecting Student Data from the Classroom to the Cloud
On February 24, 2014, Sunnylands partnered once again with the San-Francisco based nonprofit Common Sense Media at the Pew Research Center in Washington, D.C. to convene a day-long discussion of student data privacy. United States Secretary of State Arne Duncan addressed the group explaining that the federal government is “not going to wait for industry or rely on promises” by the private sector to protect children’s sensitive information. Discussion on this important topic will continue under the partnership of Common Sense Media and The Annenberg Retreat at Sunnylands.
