In this hands-on workshop, pot your own herb garden using locally grown worm castings from Happy Worm. Leave with a living terra cotta planter of basil, chives, and thyme and everything you need to grow fresh herbs at home in the Coachella Valley. No special equipment, no prior experience, and no complicated process. Just soil, water, and a little understanding of what makes desert growing possible.

Fee: $55.59 per participant. All materials are provided. Registration required. Must be 18 years old and up.
About the instructor: Ivette Zamora Cruz is the founder of Happy Worm, an organic soil education practice based in Palm Springs. A certified California Naturalist with three years of hands-on vermicompost experience in the Coachella Valley, Ivette grows worm castings and natural liquid soil amendments in the desert. She teaches beginners how to use living soil to grow food at home. Her workshops are designed for anyone who wants to connect with the desert through something they can taste, share, and grow on their own.
Parking is free. Please arrive 15 minutes before the program start time. Stop by the reception desk to be shown where the class will be meeting.
