Art Workshop—Creative Mindfulness: Embrace the Power of Simplicity

Past Event

Saturday, February 25, 9:30–11:30 am

Technology can make our lives run smoother, but at the same time, it can bring its own set of complications. Being inundated with an excess of emails, messages, digital news, can all lead to burnout or a feeling that we may never catch up. How do we break this cycle?

This workshop is all about the power of simplicity, setting a morning intention and making a creative project using simple tools we have on hand. We will use coffee and tea as our painting mediums and learn to fashion our own art-making tools from objects found in nature. This class is a mindful reminder that every morning is an opportunity to start over and that we can reset the day in simple ways.

Participants should bring the following materials:

  • 2 sheets of 140lb watercolor paper, approximately 9 x 11
  • Black acrylic paint
  • Acrylic brush
  • Water

Fee: $15 per participant. Limited spaces

This workshop takes place outside, sun protection and water is recommended.
