Ross Rheingans-Yoo manages a portfolio of projects at the FTX Foundation in pandemic preparedness, biosecurity, and global health. FTX Foundation’s programs in global health are enabling and empowering clinical researchers in developing regions, backing development of vaccines and antivirals that take global accessibility as a core priority, and aiming to advance the world’s toolkit of broad-spectrum antivirals in preparation for deadly pandemics. Other FTX Foundation initiatives in pandemic preparedness envision global pathogen tracking and early warning through widely accessible metagenomic sequencing and promoting human challenge trials as a tool for accelerating the study of infectious disease.
