Robert Caragher

Robert (Bob) Caragher is the chief financial and administrative officer at Sunnylands.  He oversees the finance, human resources, information technology and communications departments, as well as the budgeting and Board of Trustees liaison functions.  Bob brings more than three decades of experience with not-for-profit institutions to Sunnylands.  He was most recently vice president of finance and operations at the Autry Museum of the American West in Los Angeles.  Prior to joining the museum sector, Bob worked in accounting and finance in higher education at The Claremont Colleges, Middlebury College, and the public accounting firm Coopers & Lybrand (now PwC).

Bob is a certified public accountant.  He holds a master’s of business administration degree from Thunderbird School of Global Management, a bachelor’s degree in German and geography from Middlebury, and a certificate in museum studies from Northwestern University. Bob is a member of numerous museums, botanic gardens, historic preservation organizations and museum associations, and is a great admirer of the midcentury modern and Arts and Crafts movements.
