Kevin W. Fleming
Chief Operating Officer

Kevin W. Fleming joined The Annenberg Foundation Trust at Sunnylands in May 2026 as Chief Operating Officer. In this role, he oversees the Trust’s day-to-day operations, including finance, human resources, information technology, security, facilities, Center & Gardens, retreat operations, hospitality, and heritage and archives. He also supports the secretariat to the boards and committees that govern and support the Trust. As a member of Sunnylands’ senior leadership team, Fleming leads efforts to strengthen organizational efficiency and resilience as the Trust expands its operational capacity.
Fleming brings more than 30 years of leadership experience across the public, private, and nonprofit sectors in the United States and internationally. Most recently, he served as Chief Operating Officer of Radio Free Asia. Prior to that, he held a series of senior leadership roles at the Peace Corps starting in 2015, including Acting Regional Director for Africa and Country Director of Peace Corps Liberia and Peace Corps Namibia. Earlier in his career, he held roles including Interim Executive Managing Director of Last Mile Health, overseeing organizational scale-up during the Ebola epidemic in Liberia; Chief of Staff and Strategy at the Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship; and Senior Vice President for Global Field Operations at Operation HOPE, Inc. He has also held leadership roles with Teach For All, Teach South Africa, the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco, Keller Environmental Inc., and served as a Peace Corps Agriculture Volunteer in Lesotho and a Teach For America corps member in Los Angeles.
A native of Ohio, Fleming earned a bachelor’s degree from Xavier University and a master’s degree in Management and Public Policy from the Heinz School of Public Policy and Management at Carnegie Mellon University. He has served on domestic and international nonprofit boards supporting education, financial literacy, global health, volunteerism, and civic engagement.
