With a lifelong passion for activism, and after years of working as an actress, Jill found it a natural progression to move into producing content that highlights the issues she cares about most. In 2014, she produced the highly anticipated documentary, GMO OMG (Submarine, 2014), which delves into the contentious world of genetically modified organisms. GMO OMG premiered at the Berlin International Film Festival, had a nationwide theatrical release and won Best Documentary at the 2014 Environmental Media Awards.

In 2016, Jill co-founded Roots Productions with her producing partner, Joshua Kunau, as an outlet to tell powerful, character-driven stories that illuminate important issues of our time and foster human connection as well as social change. Most recently Jill co-produced The Devil We Know, a documentary which follows the residents of a small town in West Virginia as they uncover the truth…that one major U.S. corporation has been dumping a toxic chemical into their water supply for decades. The Devil We Know premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in January 2018 and is now available on VOD.

Jill is a proud member of the LA Woman’s Collective and the NRDC Los Angeles Leadership Council. Most recently Jill founded the NRDC Entertainment Task Force, a virtual committee of entertainment industry professionals partnering with NRDC to advance environmental solutions.

She lives in Los Angles with her husband, Glenn, and their two sons.
