Ignacio Horvath

Ignacio Horvath, 39 years old, is a mechanical industrial engineer from the University of the Republic, has completed postgraduate studies at the Sloan Business School of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), and from Cranfield University in the United Kingdom.

He has over 12 years of management-level experience, as well as in the oil and gas industry. He began his career in 2001 at Turboflow Uruguay S.A. – C.I.R.S.A., where he held the positions of project engineer of the Technical /Commercial Department, project manager of the ASME Certification, in the same company, and supervisor of the revamping work of the La Teja Refinery. From 2004 to 2006, he was linked to Compac Sorting Equipment Ltd. as the manager responsible for establishing the business in the Argentine market and the rest of the Mercosur countries.

Since 2007, he integrated to Schlumberger, the world’s largest oil services company, where he held the positions of Europe logistics manager, world manager of fleet vehicles, world manager of the field equipment category, and logistics and distribution manager for North America and the Caribbean.
