Gov. William Asa Hutchinson

Governor “Asa” Hutchinson is the current CEO of Hutchinson Group LLC, a national security consulting firm; and he is Chairman of the Board of First Coast Security Solutions.
Previously, Asa served for eight years as the 46th Governor of Arkansas having received more votes for governor in his last election than any other Republican in history. While Governor, Asa was known as the “Jobs Governor” with the creation of over 100,000 jobs; lowered the tax rate from 7% to 4.9%; reduced the size of state government; and created a nationally recognized computer science education initiative.
Prior to service as Governor, Asa served the Reagan Administration as the youngest U.S. Attorney in the nation at the age of 31; he served the Bush Administration as head of the DEA; and the first Undersecretary of the newly created Department of Homeland Security responsible for border security. Asa also served in the U.S. Congress (1997 to 2001) as a member of the Select Committee on Intelligence and House Judiciary Committee. While in Congress Asa distinguished himself as an independent thinker with a focus on the law and security. After being term limited as Governor, Asa was a Republican candidate for President of the United States.
Asa lives in Rogers, Arkansas, with his wife, Susan. He has an extensive family with four children and seven grandchildren.
