Mr. Dhruva Jaishankar


Dhruva Jaishankar is Executive Director of the Observer Research Foundation America (ORF America), a public policy think tank established in Washington, DC, in 2020 and an affiliate of the India-based Observer Research Foundation. He is also a Non-Resident Fellow with the Lowy Institute in Australia and a columnist for the Hindustan Times. Previously, he was a Fellow in Foreign Policy Studies at Brookings India in New Delhi and the Brookings Institution in Washington, DC. Prior to that, Mr. Jaishankar was a Transatlantic Fellow with the German Marshall Fund (GMF) in Washington, DC, where he managed the India Trilateral Forum, a regular policy dialogue involving participants from India, Europe, and the United States. In 2015-2016, he was a visiting fellow with the S. Rajaratnam School of International Studies in Singapore. His publications include reports, articles, and chapters on India’s security partnerships with Australia, Japan, the United States, and Europe, as well as on defense acquisitions, democratic cooperation, and technology and societies. Mr. Jaishankar holds a bachelor’s degree in history and classics from Macalester College and a master’s degree in security studies from Georgetown University.
