David Hsu

Director (Building Cultures of Belonging) at Omidyar Network

David T. Hsu is a Program Director (Building Cultures of Belonging) at Omidyar Network, the social change venture established by philanthropists Pam and Pierre Omidyar. He was previously part of the firm’s Exploration and Future Sensing unit.

A strategist and political scientist, his work builds upon 12 years of cross-sector leadership, including earlier roles at the Hollywood-based cultural consultancy Propper Daley, grassroots tech startup NationBuilder, University of Pennsylvania, and the U.S. Department of Justice Antitrust Division.

He spent the decade after the 9/11 attacks studying interdependence, earning his PhD in Politics at Princeton University. David serves on the boards of Encore.org and Inclusive Action for the City. He lives in Los Angeles.
