Step into the sounds and imagery of the trees at Sunnylands Center & Gardens. Explore the colors, textures, movements, and sounds of trees while reflecting on how their slow growth can inspire us to slow down, be present, and connect with the world around us.
After viewing the exhibition Curating Canopy: Trees at Sunnylands, you will explore poetic terms and nature vocabulary before moving into a generative writing session and open sharing.
Friday, October 2, 2-3:30 pm
Fee: $24.91 per participant. All materials required for this class are provided. Available for ages 18 and up. Workshop fees are nonrefundable within 10 days prior to event.
About the Instructor: Leanne Kathleen Indigo, author and workshop facilitator, brings connection with oneself and others through the power and exploration of words. Together participants will create new works, dive deeper into wordplay, explore the words of other poets, and learn new poetic elements and forms.
Parking is free. Please arrive 15 minutes before the program start time. Stop by the reception desk to be shown where the class will be meeting.
