Ambassador Capricia Penavic Marshall, chief of protocol in the Obama administration from 2009-2013, is featured in a live online discussion with Willow Bay, dean of USC’s Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism, on October 12. Ambassador Marshall will be discussing her new book, Protocol: The Power of Diplomacy and How to Make it Work for You, detailing her diplomatic career, including three presidential summits that took place at the historic Sunnylands estate. Opening remarks by Kathleen Doherty, chief strategy and retreats officer at Sunnylands, along with Jay Wang, professor and director of USC’s Center on Public Diplomacy.
