Greg Jones presents “A Tribute to Genius:” The Music of Ray Charles.
Singer, composer, and pianist Greg Jones has entertained California audiences for more than 35 years, including a four-year residency at Spotlight 29 Casino, and 24 annual appearances at Idyllwild’s Jazz in the Pines. Dr. Jones has released three albums and has been compared to the great Gil Scott-Heron for bringing a fresh fusion of R&B, jazz, and blues. In his “A Tribute to Genius:” The Music of Ray Charles show, the band dials up classic tunes made famous by the legendary performer, allowing us to fondly remember his greatness. Featuring former Motown recording guitarist Dave Pruitt, world-class drummer Toby Williams, GJB bassist Irwin Williams, horn master John Burcher, and “Raylett” vocalist Michelle Schneider.
