Music in the Gardens: Nathan James & the Rhythm Scratchers
Join us in the Sunnylands gardens for our free Music in the Gardens concert series, happening every Sunday in March, 11 am to 1 pm, featuring a different musical act each week.
The series continues with a performance by Nathan James & the Rhythm Scratchers on Sunday, March 24, from 11 am to 1 pm. Full schedule below. Free parking and attendance. Reservations not required.

Water and sun protection are recommended. Guests may bring blankets and folding chairs. No seating is provided. While guests are invited to bring food and picnics to Sunnylands, large coolers, ice chests, grills, and alcohol are not permitted. No large shade structures or items that puncture the lawn are permitted. Please see our Plan Your Visit page for visiting rules and guidelines.
Parking for this event is at a premium. Sunnylands will close its gates for safety reasons when the parking lot reaches capacity. We strongly encourage guests to carpool or utilize a ride-sharing service for this event.

About the Artist
Led by Nathan James, the Rhythm Scratchers have forged a cumulative sound that combines elements of 1920s acoustic blues, amplified juke joint hill country, and 1950s uptown blues mixed with 1960s soulful R&B. The Rhythm Scratchers pay homage to these traditional genres while injecting their own unique sounds, including Nathan on a custom LED-lit “Washtar Gitboard.”
