Music in Space

Past Event

Inspired by the release of NASA’s Sounds of Space video which reveals that each planet has its own form of electromagnetic vibrations, and Gustav Holst’s seven-movement orchestral suite, The Planets, guests will be introduced to the fundamentals of music and astronomy. The evening will include opportunities to play with various instruments, learn about rhythm, listen to the sounds of the planets, create their own planet-inspired images and sounds, and culminate their experience with some stargazing on the Great Lawn (weather permitting).
