Join Sunnylands for a workshop surrounding the bonsai tree. Participants will have the opportunity to learn the fundamental skills and techniques behind the art of bonsai while enjoying time with family or friends. An instructor will introduce core concepts and guide your experience as you pot, prune, and design your very own bonsai tree.
Sunday, January 25, 1-3 pm
Fee: $85.00 per participant. All materials required for this class are provided. Available for ages 14 and up. Workshop fees are nonrefundable within 10 days prior to event.
About the Instructor: Ben Kegel is a passionate bonsai professional who has taught beginner classes coast to coast for the past three years. Now settled in Orange County, Ben’s personal collection contains over 100 bonsai of 30+ different species. Ben and his company, Bonsai Bar, work to bring this ancient art form into more casual and inclusive spaces to attract individuals to this niche art and hobby.
Parking is free. Please arrive 15 minutes before the program start time. Stop by the reception desk to be shown where the class will be meeting.
