Partnering with the Coachella Valley Disaster Preparedness Network, Sunnylands invites families and guests to learn about ways to keep themselves, pets, and homes safe in the event of a natural emergency.
Wednesday, February 11, 8:30 am-12 pm
Sunnylands has partnered with the following local organizations to provide participants with resources and information to take home:
- Coachella Valley Disaster Preparedness Network
- Bilingual emergency preparedness resources
- Animal Samaritans
- Information on preparing pets for emergencies
- Rancho Mirage Emergency Preparedness Commission
- Emergency response programs in the local area
- Coachella Valley Water District
- Water needs during an emergency
- Palm Desert High School Health Career Academy
- Emergency and first aid tactics demonstrations
- Rancho Mirage High School Culinary Program
- Sample menus using emergency food rations




Families are encouraged to participate. Programming is appropriate for homeschoolers.
Parking and admission are free. Reservations are not required.
