Closed for APEC reception
Modernism Week tours of the historic house will continue as scheduled.
Sunnylands Center & Gardens will be closed to the public on Sunday, February 26, to co-host a reception with the 2023 APEC Private Sector Host Committee for delegates of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation, an international forum that helps facilitate trade among 21 economies in the Asia-Pacific region.
Tours of the historic Annenberg home purchased via Modernism Week for February 26 will continue as scheduled. Ticketed tour guests will have limited access to the Center and will depart for the Historic House tour from a designated check-in area outside the Center.
The United States is the host economy for APEC convenings in 2023. The forum’s delegates will be meeting at the Palm Springs Convention Center in February, followed by meetings in Detroit, Seattle, and San Francisco later in the year.
APEC was established in 1989 to leverage the growing interdependence of economies in the Asia-Pacific. The cooperative is primarily concerned with trade and economic issues, including the movement of goods, services, and people across international borders, faster customs procedures, and aligning regulations and standards across the region.
