Art Workshop: Plein Air Painting in Oil
This workshop invites the public to participate in the rich tradition of plein air painting in the Sunnylands gardens. Artist Donna Reine Taylor believes that the best art is not so much about the subject you choose but about the visual qualities in the subject matter. In this workshop, she will guide participants to depict what they see and not what they think. She will devote personal attention to each artist’s level. After a demonstration from the artist, participants will work in the gardens to paint the subject of their choice. The session will end with group sharing and critique. This workshop is designed to be fun while stimulating creative impulses.
