Palm Springs Modern Living by James Schenpf and The Desert Modernists: The Architects Who Envisioned Midcentury Modern Palm Springs.

Sunnylands Gift Shop now has two new design books for sale, both of which have details about Sunnylands and its famed architect A. Quincy Jones. The books feature full color photographs of many of the most iconic houses in the Palm Springs area.

The Desert Modernists: The Architects Who Envisioned Midcentury Modern Palm Springs
is published by Modernism Week and focuses attention on the best known architects who have worked in the Coachella Valley–from Albert Frey to John Lautner and E. Stewart Williams. The soft-cover book retails for $50.

Palm Springs Modern Living by James Schnepf, with a foreward by architect William Krisel, is a beautiful coffee table book that retails for $40. It is divided into sections on architects, people, and iconic houses, among them Sunnylands. Schnepf is a photographer who brings a very particular photographic style to the architecture, the houses, and their owners.

These books and others on Sunnylands are currently available and can be purchased in the gift shop, or by calling (760) 202-2263. Prices do not include tax or shipping.
