Rodney Vigue

Director, Property Management

Rodney Vigue, director of property management, is a retired law enforcement professional who served with the Riverside County (California) Sheriff’s Department for 28 years.

During his tenure with the sheriff, Rodney undertook assignments in patrol, SWAT, narcotics, and investigations. From 2008 to 2010, he simultaneously served as the contract chief of police for the cities of La Quinta and Coachella. He finished his career as a chief deputy, overseeing eastern Riverside County patrol stations and the Special Enforcement Bureau.

After leaving law enforcement, Rodney owned and operated a truck accessory business in North Palm Springs, where he customized trucks and sprayed truck bed liners.

He was hired as the director of security and threat assessment at Sunnylands in September 2016. He was promoted to director of property management, which oversees grounds, facilities, and security, in February 2019.

Rodney has a master’s degree in public administration from Norwich University, a Bachelor of Arts degree in criminal justice from Chapman University, and is a 2004 graduate from the FBI National Academy. Rodney has one son, who is currently attending the University of Nevada, Reno.
