Dr. Lisa Nichols is the Assistant Director for Academic Engagement at The White House Office of Science and Technology Policy where she helps guide the efforts of the National Science and Technology Council Joint Committee on Research Environments (JCORE).

Previously, Dr. Nichols served as the Director for Research Regulatory Reform for the Council on Governmental Relations. Dr. Nichols also spent time at the National Science Foundation (NSF) as both a Science Policy Analyst and a Fellow at the American Association for the Advancement of Science.

Dr. Nichols was a postdoctoral fellow with The National Institutes of Health (NIH).
