Kimberly Breier

Kimberly Breier was nominated by President Trump to be Assistant Secretary of the State Department’s Western Hemisphere Affairs Bureau. She is currently a Member of Policy Planning covering the Western Hemisphere. She previously served as the Director of the US-Mexico Futures Initiative and Deputy Director of the Americas Program at the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS). Formerly she served in the US intelligence community for more than a decade and as a Director for the Western Hemisphere on the National Security Council Staff. She received a Bachelor’s degree in Spanish from Middlebury College and an MA in Latin American Studies from Georgetown University.
