Protected: Gretchen Paule

Gretchen Paule is a senior technical writer at the California Department of Public Health, supporting the Director and State Public Health Officer.

Prior to joining CDPH, Paule held several roles at the San Francisco Department of Public Health with experience in emergency preparedness and response, policy and planning, and lean. Most recently, she supported San Francisco’s COVID-19 response as deputy planning chief and Community Vaccine Access strategy lead. Paule began her public health career as a fellow in the Center for Disease Control and Prevention’s Public Health Associate Program, serving as a field assignee at the Clay County Health Department in Illinois and the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare.

Paule holds a Bachelor of Science in exercise biology and a minor in economics from the University of California, Davis, and a Master of Public Health from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
