Mr. Peacher assumed the role of director in 2016 after seven years as the deputy director.

Mr. Peacher has thirty years experience at the Department of Commerce advocating for U.S. businesses in international markets, addressing barriers to trade, promoting U.S. exports, and attracting inward investment to foster U.S. economic prosperity. Mr. Peacher has spent over 20 of his 30 years in the department focused on Latin America and the Caribbean.

Prior to joining the department, Mr. Peacher served in the United States Navy as a supply officer.
