Plants at Sunnylands

Sunnylands is home to a variety of plants.

Sunnylands Center & Gardens is home to more than 70 types of plants and more than 53,000 individual arid-landscape plants. Please familiarize yourself with the few prominent plants listed below, including choice plants on the historic estate.

Leonore’s rose garden was designed by midcentury modern architect A. Quincy Jones in 1966 to be ribbons of color: pink, yellow, and white. In the 1990s, the Annenbergs reformatted their rose garden to incorporate signature roses and create a more organic look.
